| Shelburne Bay’s
dining program is designed to cater to the varied tastes and
desires of our many residents. All residents in the Independent, Residential Care, and
Memory Care Assisted Living are served the same menu each day,
with slight variations to accommodate resident needs.
The Executive Chef and Dining Services staff prides
themselves on preparing and serving fresh, high quality,
locally grown (in season) delicious foods at every meal.
Shelburne Bay is committed to delivering a dining program
that meets the needs of all residents and is flexible enough
to add, change and modify menu items based on resident
comments and surveys. The
Dining Services program uses 4 – five week menu cycles that
change each season. Additionally,
each season a significant number of items are updated, or
replaced so the dining experience never becomes routine.
Special attention is paid in preparing foods using no added
salt, low fat and low sugar recipes.
There also is a Heart Healthy alternative available at
each meal for those residents who are interested in making a
healthy selection.
